The Educational Alliance // Website Design & Development

The Educational Alliance is one of America's oldest Jewish communal institutions, with over 20 locations on Manhattan's Lower East Side and an extraordinarily diverse constituency. For some years, the Educational Alliance's website had been in disrepair and in desperate need of a redesign. Familiar with our work on the JCC in Manhattan's website, the Ed Alliance came to Matzat to rebuild their entire website from the ground up, using a content management solution that would enable their marketing department to maintain the website in-house, and giving the site a modern look that reflected the organization's continued relevancy.

Yeshivat Simchat Shlomo // Flyer Design

Yeshivat Shimchat Shlomo (YSS) is a small, family-operated yeshiva in downtown Jerusalem with limited resources and unlimited vision. YSS came to Matzat for help in creating an marketing campaign (print and online) to promote their 2006-2007 Winter program. For this project, we had to figure out a way to be edgy without compromising the yeshiva's Orthodox values. Specifically, in this case, it meant losing the feet on the diving board above, whereas YSS loved the concept, but feared that the feet could be construed as "immodest." Nonetheless, it was a fun campaign and well-received, drawing inquiries from several dozen prospective students.
